Summary: A great hotel, a bit outside of Oberstdorf. But there is a bus right outside the hotel. It takes only a couple of minutes - and you get a card from the hotel - so no charge. Huge breakfast buffet, lovely staff and a really nice spa area. The hotel bar was also great. The only minus was that my room was in a corner and the amazing view from the balcony was a bit blocked.

Summary: Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views and very helpful staff. Delicious food and convenient breakfast schedule. Situated on a hill outside of town, but I believe there is a good bus connection for those who don't fancy the climb. Great for hikers!

Summary: Hotel is very nice but pricey for what it is. Unfortunately, the hotels.com website is inaccurate in its description. There was no air conditioning or separate sitting area as described. The room was also pretty small and the bathroom little more than a cupboard. A little disappointing for something that cost over 220 euros a night. On the plus side, probably the best breakfast buffet I have ever experienced in a hotel (which is a few) and the dinner buffet was also great.

Summary: We travelled to Oberstdorf to visit our daughter who lives there while she is training as a figure skater on the German team. I have been there many times but it was my husbands first visit. The hotel is located in a beautiful area atop a hill. We enjoyed the ambiance. The spa could use a little updating as the steam and sauna were not turned on unless you request it and then it takes a long time to heat up. Other than that everyone is extremely helpful , and the food is delicious. We will definitely return .
